When does the department begin reviewing applications?

We begin reviewing applications around January 1 and continue reviewing on a rolling basis until the quota for each program is met.

Do you accept students for spring admission?

No, our department accepts students for summer and fall admission only.

Do you accept MAT scores?

No, applicants to our department must submit current GRE scores.

How are admissions decisions made?

Admissions decisions are made by the admissions committee for the program you have applied for. The admissions committee takes into consideration the following items when making decisions: undergraduate GPA, GRE scores, references, responses to the departmental questionnaire (which is a component of the on-line graduate school application), performance at interview (Professional School Counseling, Student Affairs Administration and Marriage and Family Therapy), and work history/experience.

What are the requirements for being accepted into a graduate certificate program?

We currently offer three graduate certificate programs- Addiction Counseling, Expressive Arts Therapy and Systemic Multicultural Counseling.
